I had this T-Shirt at Ape Do Good Printing this year for a Dolce & Gabbana opening event which Allison Speer invited me to. It's a riff on a shirt made by Yoko Ono and John Lennon back in the 70s after the Vietnam war. Yoko and John had War Is Over! on billboards and theater announcements to give people a taste of what that news and media would look like if the U.S. pulled out of Vietnam. We just wanted to remind everyone of that history and since choosing outfits for a fancy event is always fun for me (Halloween being the funnest event of all), I thought it would be the perfect time to show off these T-Shirts. Naturally, when Tony Bravo of the San Francisco Chronicle got the message, I nearly did a cartwheel. San Francisco has not forgotten the 70s!
